“lebens(t)räume 2010”: The student competition on the topics of universal design and assisted living reports a record-breaking number of participants

“lebens(t)räume”, the student competition, is now in its seventh year and reports a larger number of participants than ever before: a total of 321 entries were submitted from 23 countries from around the world. In comparison, there were 174 submissions from 16 nations in 2009. Vincentz Network GmbH & Co. KG in Hannover, which is hosting the competition during the ALTENPFLEGE 2010 (March 23 to 25) on the Hannover Exhibition Grounds this year, is very pleased that this competition has drawn such international attention.

Large-scale job exchange makes Hannover debut at ALTENPFLEGE 2010: New job, new luck

While the economic crisis has led to a massive loss of jobs in many industries, hundreds of thousands of new job opportunities are being created in the care sector. According to the latest studies, the number of jobs in the care sector may even triple by 2050, making for a total of 2.2. million people involved in providing professional care services. What at first glance may sound quite positive is nevertheless confronting the owners and operators of elderly care institutions with a set of increasingly major challenges. Many regions are already experiencing a shortage of qualified care workers — a situation which can only get worse. The Job Exchange at ALTENPFLEGE 2010 is dedicated to helping combat the growing shortage of qualified care workers.

ALTENPFLEGE announces new key visual

The previous “Altenpflege + ProPflege” nursing exhibition now has a new name: “ALTENPFLEGE — Leading Exhibition for the Nursing Industry”. The tradeshow logo, i.e. “key visual”, is also new, sporting a more modern and more elegant design for a more targeted impact on nursing industry managers.

Altenpflege+ProPflege 2008: Care networks — challenge of the future Europe’s flagship

Running from February 12 to 14 at the Hannover Exhibition Center, the 19th Altenpflege+ProPflege 2008 exhibition brought together 36,000 trade visitors and 747 exhibitors from 17 nations. With the highest number of exhibitors ever (2006: 721) plus strong visitor attendance, the European Exhibition and Congress for Nursing, Therapy, Care and Professional Patient Care was able to confirm its leading position. “The growth trend in the industry was clear visible at this trade fair,” declared Holger Göpel from show organizer Vincentz Network, adding: “The need for investment and procurement in outpatient and stationary nursing and therapy is growing constantly due to the changing demographics.” This analysis was shared by exhibitors, 87 percent of whom were satisfied with the overall success of their participation. And over 90 percent reported their expectations had been largely fulfilled or even exceeded.
