The Management Congress offers three days of concentrated information and communication of the highest quality. The editors of Altenheim and Häusliche Pflege magazine have tailored the congress to meet the needs of managers of ambulatory and stationary care institutions, with a series of high-caliber speakers scheduled to appear. A special congress highlight involves the exclusive evening event, the “HOME CARE 2.0 Forum“, hosted by the editors of Häusliche Pflege on the evening of March 23rd in the Convention Center (CC). Concurrently, the winner of the Altenheim Future Award 2010 will be announced by the editors of Altenheim magazine.

Care Congress:

The editors of Altenpflege magazine have put together a wide-ranging program of useful information for this year’s Care Congress. A key focus will be on the specialist needs of residential management, including seminars on essential care issues like dementia, nutrition, palliative care and expert standards.

Catering and Housekeeping Forum:
Enjoyment and service with quality

The project entitled “Top-fit at an Advanced Age — Healthy Eating Means Better Living”, organized by the German Nutrition Society (DGE) highlights “Quality Catering Standards in Stationary Care Institutions”. The project is produced in cooperation with the German housekeeping association dgh.

The Catering and Housekeeping Forum on March 23rd features a varied, practically-focused forum targeted at specialized workers and managers involved in catering for the elderly, consisting of “Top-fit at an Advanced Age” plus special contributions by dgh. Star chef Mario Kotaska to cook live at ALTENPFLEGE 2010

Mario Kotaska is one of the most popular TV chefs around. Now the affable star with the tousled blond hair and the distinctive glasses has confirmed his participation at ALTENPFLEGE 2010. Kotaska will join Swiss institutional catering experts Markus Biedermann and Herbert Till on March 24 at the Live Chef’s Arena at the Catering and Cooking Forum, which is devoted to themes like attractive residential design, nutrition, and new quality standards. “lebens(t)räume”, the student competition, is now in its seventh year and reports a larger number of participants than ever before. Vincentz Network GmbH & Co. This year the Altenpflege Award 2010 is once again being presented at ALTENPFLEGE. The award is dedicated to finding optimum ways of reducing or eliminating restrictions on personal freedom in care institutions. The Altenpflege Award 2010 carries a prize purse of EUR 5,000. The editors of Altenheim magazine created the award to encourage nursing and care-service initiatives dedicated to preventing restrictive measures, as summed up in the competition slogan “Freedom Is a Human Right”.
